THE JOLLY BEACH RESORT?

We take advantage of one of the finest Conference and Banquet Facilities on Antigua. The Jolly Beach Resort sits on 40 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and a mile of pristine white sand beach. It is a jewel on this island in the sun. The air-conditioned Conference Rooms can comfortably host our retreats, seminars or functions of any size up to 500 people. The resort also offers the technological infrastructure required for the successful staging of any meeting or convention. There are 462 oceanview rooms. The rooms used during our retreats are air-conditioned and face the ocean; each has a patio or balcony, direct-dial phone, cable TV, hair-dryer, clock radio, tea and coffee makers, small refrigerator.


When not in the retreat sessions, participants can relax on the amazing beach at Jolly Beach Resort or at the two fresh water swimming pools including our 8,000 square feet Fantasy Pool with a terraced waterfall and swim-up bar. You can work on a tan while enjoying the Caribbean Sea with windsurfers, Hobi Cats and Sunfish for sailing; kayaks and pedal boats for exploring. You can kick back and relax on float mats or up their cardio with surf bikes. At Jolly Beach Resort guests enjoy unlimited use of all non-motorized watersports equipment.

ANTIGUA

Antigua is one of the Caribbean's premier tourist destinations. Temperatures generally range from the mid-seventies in the winter to the mid-eighties in the summer. Annual rainfall averages only 45 inches, making it the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands, and the northeast trade winds are nearly constant, flagging only in September. Low humidity year-round.

Officially called Antigua and Barbuda, it is an independent Commonwealth nation and consists of the island of Antigua (108 sq mi/280 sq km) and two smaller islands, Barbuda and Redonda. Saint John's on Antigua is the capital. Antigua is a hilly island with a heavily indented coast with safe harbors and a protective, nearly unbroken wall of coral reef.



The current population for the nation is approximately 68,000. Most residents are of African ancestry. Anglicanism is the predominant religion. English is the official language. Agriculture, fishing, and manufacturing (bedding, handicrafts, and electronics) also contribute to the economy. Away from the resorts, Antigua has a typical West Indian character, manifested in the gingerbread architecture found around the capital, the popularity of steel band, calypso and reggae music, and in festivities such as Carnival. English traditions also play an important role, notably in the popularity of Anglicanism and cricket It has great reefs and wrecks for diving and snorkelling.
